The confirmation that your money are stolen by Northstar

At 00:00am on 00/00/00 your pass was used to attempt to gain access to Northstar by someone other than yourself. As a result of this incident, your pass has been revoked for the remainder of the 00/00 season. Vail Resorts Pass Products are non-transferable and non-refundable as dictated by the Season Pass Application. This decision is final. You may purchase any available pass or ticket products online at www.snow.com/pass or by visiting a ticket office; tickets may also be purchased at a ticket office or online at www.snow.com/ticket

Your ability to purchase a pass or ticket for future summer or winter seasons has not been affected, however, we have recorded this incident on your profile. A second offense may limit your ability to purchase passes, tickets, or access Vail Resorts properties in the future.

Welcome to Northstar!

From the editor: Is it a time to start a petition on Change.org to press Vail to abandon such a draconian and wrong policy and return stolen money? I am sure there are tons of people who were affected by Vail/Northstar unfair moneygrab like this one.

Unprofessional and Unhelpful – They Take Your Money and leave you out to dry

I have had season passes at Northstar for years and have had mild issues over the years, but this year they were HORRIBLE! I lost my pass while on the mountain one day and somebody picked it up and tried to use it. Despite having reported it missing, they revoked my pass and told me that I had to file a police report. After filing a police report, I had to call them 6 times before they responded to me (a month later) and said that they wouldn’t do anything. They robbed me of the entire season and a huge amount of money. They were tremendously rude and unprofessional when they finally did respond to me. They will never get another penny from me and I will be telling everybody I know to do the same. I know many people that have had bad experiences with them specifically – save your money and go to Squaw – it’s a better mountain anyway.

From the editor: It appears that they (Northstar, Vail) will not hesitate robbing you out of the money. The pass is not an ID and is not meant to be. It is a commercial product with your name on it for which you have paid. You can use it the way you like. Lift ticket/Pass is not a privilege like Driver License for obtaining one you have to pass written/drive exam and it is issued by the state.

It is evident to us that Northstar are abusing their so-called “rules” by stealing money via revoking passes: overcharging, overpricing, stealing.

Canceled classes and never told their customers!

Awful experience at Northstar Resorts.

I made reservations for a 5 year old group skiing lessons on December 26th. There was a snow storm on that day and classes were canceled. Unfortunately, no one told any of the customers! An email was sent moments before the class, an unreasonable amount of time for anyone who was driving there. Customers were not called. The website said they were still open. No one at Northstar was answering the phones and every option in the phone call tree ended in a full voicemail dead end and no humans to talk to. There was no way for customers to learn that classes were canceled except to show up, find a handwritten note on the door, and no employees to talk to. All of this after driving an hour in the snow to get there. The official response I received 5 hours later over email was that they tweeted that classes were closed. Obviously I should have known that Twitter is their preferred notification mechanism and I should look there for authoritative information and not their website.

I don’t know how good their classes are, but if this is any indication they’re awful and you probably can’t trust them with your kids.

Blast from the past – “Worst Resort in Tahoe”

“The distance from the parking to the lifts is one bus, a long uphill walk, and then a gondola ride to the lifts. Once you get to the lifts expect 10-20 minute wait times. Also, to get to more advanced areas you must take at least 2 lifts. Have fun. Not. Date of experience: December 2010”

It looks like the same problems persist 12 years ago, and nothing was done. Found on tripadvisor.com
